Don Miguelo is a Dominican singer, rapper and songwriter who has spent well over a decade inside dembow, reggaetón and Latin urban music. He built his reputation the way most Dominican urban artists do — through street-level records, radio hooks and collaborations — but what separates him is a very specific writing habit: he turns everyday Dominican speech into choruses. If a phrase is already said on the corner, in a colmado or over a domino table, he will find the melody hiding inside it.
